Seaworld offers $3.4 billion to buy Cedar Fair

In breaking news, Seaworld has offered Cedar Fair $3.4 billion dollars in an acquisition attempt. This comes out to roughly $60 a share. This was a non-solicited offer. Some of the properties of Cedar Fair include Cedar Point, Carowinds, Knott’s Berry Farm, Canada’s Wonderland, and more. In total Cedar Fair runs 13 parks across the United States and Canada.

The current market cap for Cedar Fair is $2.82 billion while SeaWorld has a cap of $4.6 billion.

This acquisition would put SeaWorld in a strong position to be the dominant theme park chain in the United States.
